Toasted Garlic Bread

It’s hard to imagine a pasta dinner without garlic bread.  We have made many versions of garlic bread throughout the years.  This recipe is my favorite because it incorporates a quick broiling method at the end to toast the parmesan cheese.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Loaf Semolina Bread

1 Stick Butter, Softened

3 Cloves Garlic, Minced

2 Tbsp. Fresh Parsley, Chopped

½ Cup Parmesan Cheese, Grated

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the bread in half, lengthwise. In a small bowl, mix the butter, garlic and parsley together.  Spread the butter mixture over both bread halves.  Place on a baking sheet and heat in the oven for approx. 12 minutes.  Sprinkle parmesan cheese on the bread, and broil on high heat for approx. 2 minutes, until the parmesan cheese is toasted. Remove from the oven, let cool and cut into slices.  Serve warm.
