Bechamel Sauce

This béchamel sauce is silky and creamy.  I have used this sauce in various lasagna recipes.

 

INGREDIENTS:

½ Cup Butter

3 Tbsp. Flour

3 Cups Whole Milk

Salt & Pepper to taste

 

DIRECTIONS:

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.  Stir in the flour and cook for approx. 2 minutes.  Add the milk and stir until sauce thickens, approx. 3 minutes.  Add salt and pepper to taste.
