Spaghetti & Meatball Cupcakes

I saw a picture of this on Pinterest and was mesmerized…..what a perfect accompaniment to my dessert buffet!  This is incredibly simple to make, so creative, and your guests will be sure to be impressed.

INGREDIENTS:

Vanilla Cupcakes (Prepare per boxed mix instructions)

Buttercream Frosting

Ferrero Rocher Chocolates

Strawberry Jam

White Chocolate, Grated

 

DIRECTIONS:

Prepare the vanilla cupcakes per the boxed mix instructions and let cool.  When ready, place the buttercream frosting in a large Ziploc bag and cut a small hole in the corner.  Zig-zag the frosting on top of the cupcake to look like spaghetti (the picture below looks more like linguine since I cut the hole too large).  In the meantime, warm up the strawberry jam in the microwave or on the stovetop.  Place the Ferrero Rocher chocolate in the strawberry jam – one at a time.  Remove immediately and place on top of the frosting so the chocolate looks like a “meatball”.  Sprinkle the grated white chocolate on top of the “meatball” to look like grated parmesan cheese.  Garnish with fresh basil to finish the look.  Enjoy!!
