Banana Split Cake

This is a delicious and easy family recipe.  It’s a great recipe to bring to summer gatherings, and can be made into individual trifles for a holiday presentation.

 

INGREDIENTS:

Shell:

2 Cups Graham Cracker, Crumbled & ½ Cup Butter, Melted

Filling:

1 Cup Butter, Room Temperature

2 Cups Confectioners Sugar

2 Eggs & 2 Tsp. Vanilla

Fruit/Topping:

1 29-oz. Can Crushed Pineapple, Drained

1 16-oz. Pkg. Strawberries, Sliced

4 Bananas, Ripe and Sliced

1 8-oz. Container Cool Whip

Garnish – Chopped Nuts, Maraschino Cherries, Chocolate Sundae Sauce

 

DIRECTIONS:

Mix together the graham cracker crumbs and the melted butter, and press into a 9x13” pan.  In a mixing bowl, combine the filling ingredients and beat with a mixer for several minutes.  Spread on top of the graham cracker crust.  Spread the crushed, drained pineapple on top of the filling.  Layer with the sliced strawberries and the sliced bananas.  Top with the cool whip and garnish with chopped nuts, cherries and chocolate sundae sauce.  Refrigerate overnight.
